In this day and age where it is possible to launch a signs website in a matter of days, we felt it was important to convey to you exactly who we are and how we are different from the many other online printers and sign suppliers. 

Established in 1999, SSP Print Factory’s parent company SSP Direct Ltd has been involved in the supply of printed materials for many years. What sets us apart from the competition is:

WE PUT THE CUSTOMER FIRST

We are utterly committed to ensuring you and all our other customers are looked after at
every phase of the purchase. This means ensuring you are given as much information as you need to make a decision on what products to buy. Should you need additional guidance we can be contacted by phone, email, via our contact form or through our instant chat facility shown in the bottom right of the screen. Once you have decided on what to order, we will ensure you know exactly what you have bought. We will also provide a VAT invoice for your records. As part of this correspondence we will state the received delivery address for your peace of mind and advise you on the exact delivery timescales.

All our customer service staff are trained to have a good understanding of every product we
offer. They are educated to give the best possible advice rather than simply selling the most expensive product. The bottom line for SSP is that we would rather have a long, happy relationship with our customers than a short one that leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.

QUALITY PRODUCTS 

There is no point offering great service if the products you provide are not up to scratch. Every product we produce is assessed before being wrapped and shipped. In terms of safety signs, all our signs comply with EN7010. If there is no image or guidance under EN7010, we will then defer to British Standard BS5499. Likewise for road signs all our signs meet the requirements of Chapter 8 and the TSRGD guidelines (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions). Finally our visitor passes are printed to our strict ISO9001 procedures.

Much of our growth in recent years is based around the philosophy that ‘Greed is bad’. We would much rather our customers came back time and time again, happy in the knowledge they are getting quality products at a very reasonable price. Critically, by printing in bulk we can keep these costs down to give our customers access to one of the UK’s best value ranges of signs and visitor passes.

SPEEDY ORDER TURNAROUND

Wherever possible we look to minimise waiting times by dispatching orders at the earliest opportunity. For standard visitor passes or safety signs this is often on the same working day (if ordered before 2pm and 3pm respectively). For road signs and custom made items, these are usually dispatched in 1-2 working days.

INFORMATION FEEDBACK

It is our policy to ensure every customer is kept in the loop at all times. Our customers should fully understand what is being printed on their behalf and how soon they can expect to receive their end product.

Meet the People Answering the Phone….

Gwyn Ewens - Director 

Role: Gwyn is responsible for developing SSP’s online proposition, introducing new products and ensuring we live up to the customer’s expectations online. Gwyn also loves to develop new products and is our technical and quality go-to.

SSP Goal: To enjoy the challenges presented every single day but never settle with what we have accomplished so far. We should continue to develop our product offering and grow as a business. Ultimately, I want SSP Direct to strive to be better today than it was yesterday. I also want everyone involved to enjoy being part of that journey.

Fun fact: In 2018 Gwyn ran the Manchester Marathon on behalf of the amazing Christie hospital.

 

Hayley Ewens - Managing Director 

Role: Hayley is ultimately responsible for the day to day running of business as a whole. Ensuring customer KPI’s are met, management of staff and accounts.

SSP Goal: To lead a happy team that genuinely believe in the values of SSP and naturally want to give of their best, whilst developing and executing strategies to ensure we are as efficient as we can be, providing the best customer service possible.

Fun fact: I have four young children and I love travelling and listening to live music.


Mark Hughes - Business Development Manager 

Role: Mark is responsible for quotations, tenders and dealing with any Export customers. In the absence of the Directors Gwyn and Hayley, Mark takes ultimate responsibility for the business.

SSP goal: My goal is to always make our customers feel appreciated, whatever size the order.

Fun fact: I am a huge Manchester United supporter.


Jess Hughes - Accounts and Telephone Support 

Role: Jess is responsible for all the invoicing, supplier statements and debt collection.

SSP goal: To make sure that every customer and supplier has a pleasant and helpful service from me.

Fun fact: I collect Irregular choice shoes!



Mike McNee - Customer Service Co-ordinator 

Role: Mike is part of our customer facing customer service team, answering calls, emails and artwork design.

SSP goal: To work closely with every customer to ensure the best possible product solution is found. That customers are ultimately happy with any designs we make for them, from Personalised GDPR books to Signs and Posters.

Fun fact: Aspiring guitarist – I’ve been in two (terrible) bands, and will listen to anything and everything!


Peter Ashton - Customer Service Co-ordinator 

Role: Peter is part of our customer facing customer service team, answering calls, emails and processing orders.

SSP goal: I strive to be as helpful & Honest as possible when dealing with customer queries.

Fun fact: I once paid 20 Euros to write my own name WITH A PEN on a bottle of Jameson Whiskey!
